LÁmh TRAINING WORKSHOPS
Little Lámh
An introductory workshop for families of babies who may go on to use Lámh signs or families who require a small number of signs.

Course Content:
The Little Lámh Workshop has been developed for Lámh by speech therapists from Brothers of Charity Southern Services. The Workshop provides families of young children with an introduction to using Lámh signs, information on some of the benefits of using Lámh and how to begin.
Course Materials:
Participants will receive a book with some practical advice and illustrations of the 26 signs.
Also available is the NEW! Little Lámh App for iPad.
The Little Lámh App helps families to begin to use Lámh signs to support their child's communication. Developed by Waterford I.T. graduate Paul Hassett for Lámh, the App includes videos and descriptions of 26 Lámh signs. The App has been designed to accompany the Little Lámh Workshop.
Family Lámh Course
The Family Lámh Course can be attended by parents, siblings, grandparents and others close to the family.
The Family Lámh Course gives families the skills to support their child's sign use alongside Lámh sign training. Families say they enjoy the opportunity to share experiences with other families.
Qualifications Required:
No previous Lámh experience or qualifications necessary.
Course Duration:
4 workshop sessions of around 2 and a half hours each. A follow-up session will be offered when the course is finished.
Course Content:
The course covers 150+ signs and looks at ways to encourage sign use and how to support signing at home and with friends, family and others.
Course Materials:
Family Sign Book, Family Handbook and family membership of Lámh Signs Online.

Family Lámh Course Part Two
Families who have been to the Lámh Family Course may be interested in the Part Two Family Course, to learn more signs, or get sign practice with a Lámh Tutor, or to talk about their Lámh use with other families.
Qualifications Required:
You must have already attended the Lámh Family Course.
Course Duration:
2 sessions of around 2 hours each
Course Content:
The course includes either one-to-one or group discussion about Lámh use in general, how the wider family group is getting on with Lámh signs.
It is useful to go to a course at a time of transition, e.g. going to school, when perhaps different signs will be used and you child will be meeting new people.
Course Materials:
Signbook with 100 additional Lámh signs and also can add these signs to your Lámh Signs Online Family Membership.
